Something old. Something alive. Something the Spirit has been doing for 2,000 years.
Microchurch feels different from what most people call church — smaller, more personal, gathered around a table rather than seated in rows. But this is not a new idea. It is how followers of Jesus gathered for the first three centuries: in homes, around shared meals, led by the Holy Spirit, with every voice welcome.
What feels new is actually a recovery of something very old.
"What then, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up."1 Corinthians 14:26 (NRSV)
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts."Acts 2:42–47 (NRSV)

You love Jesus but feel like there's got to be more to the Christian life than what you've been experiencing at most churches.
You've been hurt, burned out, or quietly disillusioned by institutional church — but you haven't given up on Jesus or his people.
You're not done. You're just looking for something more real, more honest, more alive.
You are welcome here.
Poiema Microchurch is a place where we make room for the Holy Spirit to speak through everyone's voice and experience — not just one voice from a stage. We gather in homes, share a meal, open the Scriptures together, and leave space for the Spirit to move through the whole community.
We gather in homes over a shared meal. Community forms in the ordinary rhythms of life together.
No passive audience. Every person brings something — a Scripture, a question, a story, a prayer.
We follow where the Spirit moves, not a pre-planned agenda. What matters is what God is doing among us.
Have a question, or want to know when we're gathering next? We'd love to hear from you.
